It's Rough Out There


Yes, we all know it's rough out there. Save more, spend less. And because of that retailers are coming up with crafty ways to get you into their stores and opening your wallets. So crafty that Olive & Bette's in NYC came up with the idea that customers could sell unwanted jewelry to a licensed gold buyer — who would weigh it, test it and issue a check on the spot. Sounds a little crazy, but who doesn't have some old jewlery (from an ex, perhaps) laying around that they would gladly ditch for a new spring top. Of course, until you find out that expensive necklace really only cost about as much as a pack of tictacs. Then you are just played a fool.
