Check both boots for whole grains of salt that may be stuck to the outside.
- Create a mixture of two parts water and one part white vinegar.
- Dip a folded paper towel into the mixture and rub a small area of one boot. After the white stains have been rubbed out, switch to a clean, soft cloth and buff the area dry.

No More Salty Boots
Another 10 inches today. Maybe one day we will be able to put the rubber snow boots away and pull our leather boots back out of the closet. And when you do, there will most definitely be stains on them from the salt they've been coating the sidewalks with. No worries... they're easy to remove.
