Because naked wasn't an option...
I'm sorry, but I am totally amused by the scene that Rachel Ray's scarf in the latest Dunkin Donuts ad is causing. Yes, it looks just like a kaffiyeh. But, umm, so does the one that Abercrombi & Fitch is selling for $39.50 and the one at Target for $12.99. Oh, wait, and Hollister has one too!
I love fashion, but right now we're in a fight. For all of the things I've managed to do in my life, I can't figure out how to live in DC and work in fashion at the same time. I'm sure like any other time I get mad, I'll be over it in a couple of days.
Word on the street is that MTV just may be testing out the waters and developing a Hills-like "reality" show based in Washington, D.C.Had I not read this pre-coffee, I probably would have come up with some witty response about how they can head to Georgetown to cast for Spencer, but instead I am just wondering how they will ever find a character as compelling as Justin Bobby.
Another friend from my program just got hired as a buyer for Gucci... that makes 2. This morning I was telling my mom about it and she asked me if I was disappointed that it wasn't me.
I have to admit it, I have a total fascination with graffiti. So much that I actually have a folder solely dedicated to pictures of train graffiti. And I may have actually considered spending an inappropriate amount on a some graffiti art at Artomatic a few years back.

The NY Times recently had an article about how the fashion label Parish was turning to troubled high schools to produce their fashion shows. Their reasoning is that it teaches students responsibility and teamwork. I sort of read it, flashed-back to my high school, and moved on.
I love sunglasses. They are without a doubt my favorite accessory. But after losing my Gucci's in the ocean last summer, I only rock the cheapo's these days.
I'm having an inner dilemma with rain boots. In theory I love them, especially old school Wellies. I even own a pair in army green, with flannel at the top. Sigh, so here is my problem. The second the first drop falls from the sky, girls race to their closets and pull out their bright J Crew or Target rain boots that are covered in hearts or stars or even little rubber duckies. I agree, they are totally functional. And there is something slightly amusing about jumping in puddles with duckies on your feet. But come on, just because they are cute doesn't mean they work with everything.
Profile is the latest boutique to land on U Street.
Some people like to physically go to the store before making a major purchase like a sofa or mattress. I prefer to go online, click my mouse around and be surprised a week later when the delivery men show up.
